Plot Summary: Based on the book "Kong: King of Skull Island," a prequel to the well-known tale of the big ape.

Written by Joe DeVito and Brad Strickland, the book focuses on the backstory of Skull Island and how the giant gorilla became king there. It introduces other giant gorillas and dinosaurs only hinted at in the previous films.

The plan is to produce the film using motion-capture technology such as Robert Zemeckis used to make "The Polar Express," "Beowulf" and the upcoming "Disney's A Christmas Carol."

This is going to Flop, Well maybe not but it wont have the success as the first kong movie just because a prequel doesnt have much to Offer.
We already had people/Dinos/Kong/hott blonde Chick in the First 3 hour long movie.

Gonna have to agree with some other people, Maybe a Sequel with Maybe Another Kong off the island going at it with the Godzilla that lived at the end of the 1998 Film.

That could have ATLEAST had potential with the proper Script and Effects. Even the Title ''King Kong vs Godzilla'' would atleast get people slightly interested even myself.

Who thought Zilla 98 Sucked, and Kong 05 was kind of boring. Oh well. . .

Its about time they finally refreshed this classic story. I have always said that they should make Kong spinoffs and now someone is taking it seriously (King Kong Lives was not taking it seriously) so heres to Hollywood finally getting it!!! Kong has potential if put in the right hands. Now we just need a reimaginning of the original, total reimagining.

im very interested to see where King Kong came from, and i want to see other giant gorillas. i think this movie will answer all questions about King Kong and Skull Island. Also, i want to see a 3rd movie, Son of Kong. I read somewhere that they will do that. It's going to be awesome.
