Plot Summary: Charlie Bank's (Jesse Eisenberg) sheltered world at his Ivy League campus is shaken when Mick (Jason Ritter), an old acquaintance with a violent past, unexpectedly shows up at his dorm room. Intrigued by Charlie's privileged lifestyle, the charismatic Mick quickly wins over Charlie’s friends and his crush, Mary (Eva Amurri) as he seamlessly integrates himself into Charlie's life. Unnerved yet also in awe of Mick's easy charm, Charlie's unresolved feelings of jealousy, admiration and fear –as well as an unspoken secret between the two—threatens to come to a head with ruinous consequences.

Set in the early '80's against the backdrop of Greenwich Village's rough and tumble playgrounds and an elite academic institution in Upstate New York, "The Education of Charlie Banks" is a stirring coming-of-age story about trusting your instincts, your friends and yourself.

Interesting... I was wondering what happened to Freddy. I don't know, should we give him a chance?

I think that has a whole lot of potential. i respect Fred Durst as a filmmaker and not a musician.

Why?

What long line of fantastic films has he created to make you respect him as a filmmaker?

I barely respect him as a human being, but hey...this could be a good film.

Just don't be surprised if it's as laughable as his other artistic endeavors.

If you have taste that is.

He's made another movie called The Longshots, which was appparently pretty good, although I have yet to see it.

I've got taste and I'm a Bizkit fan.
I suppose you're a Britney fan? ;)

I suppose you live in a musical world so shallow that those two "artists" are your only choices to represent creative range? In reality they aren't very different at all.

Explaining this to is fans though is pointless.

I guess from that subjective world though, you would have taste. :)

fred durst has no talent. his music sucks. why would they let him make a movie? limp bizkit was the worst band ever. leonard part 6 is better than his movie.

I've been listening to Fred Viola's "The Sad Song" for about a year now, its on his website Fredviola.com. I was really intrigued to hear it in the trailer. The story looks excellent and the music just makes me want to see this movie even more.

I saw Fred Durst as an Actor in the recent film Population 436...he did a great job and actually I didn't even realize it was him until halfway through the film...he lost a lot of weight I think for that movie...I had no idea he was also a director. I think he should be given a chance.
