Wasn't "Treasure Island" actually the first live-action Disney movie?

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was the first movie produced and Distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. True Treasure Island was released in 1950, all Disney did was slap their name on it.

McG? Disney? Will Smith as Nemo?

This actually sounds so crazy, it just might work.

My Buds and I, whom are HUGE movie fans by the way, have always discussed ideas for "updated" versions older movies and shows. It started with "The Thing!" Nuff said??? Well, a few years ago, Jeremy Irons and Edward James Olmos, have been our common choice as Capt. Nemo. With Mr. Olmos on "Battlestar Galactica," which is an OMG performance, who's left now?

Actually, the earliest live action Disney films were Victory Through Air Power, The Reluctant Dragon, Song of the South, and So Dear to My Heart. Since they had animation in them, they are not always technically considered live-action films.

Is there no faith? The Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy was also a produced through Disney and those were definitely not geared towards kids, especially the final two installments.
Perhaps they have a unique fun vision for this... perhaps.
But The Rock does need to start veering away from these types of films and gearing back up for some action blockbusters.
