Plot Summary: "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" is a fictional story that offers a unique perspective on how prejudice, hatred and violence affect innocent people, particularly children, during wartime. Through the lens of an eight-year-old boy largely shielded from the reality of World War II, we witness a forbidden friendship that forms between Bruno, the son of Nazi commandant, and Schmuel, a Jewish boy held captive in a concentration camp. Though the two are separated physically by a barbed wire fence, their lives become inescapably intertwined. The imagined story of Bruno and Shmuel sheds light on the brutality, senselessness and devastating consequences of war from an unusual point of view. Together, their tragic journey helps recall the millions of innocent victims of the Holocaust.

When I have been reading the book, I was caught by the strong story. It is the one of books which is worth to read. You will cry and ask WHY this nonsense could happen in 20. century? I think this story helps us find our humanity in our hearts.

immediately after reading the book I knew it would be a great movie-
so glad it is for all the world to see-I can't wait to see it- it needed to be told in this format-the entire world should learn a lesson from this hatred. (don't do or say anything that you wouldn't want to be done to your family)Bruno's parents are a good example to this. Life is
to short and each one of us must learn to tolerate each others beliefs in
a peaceful way.Enough jealously toward others is getting out of control. Be happy for people rather than always trying to find the negatives. No one is perfect to judge another. Thank you for creating this movie!
