Plot Summary: On the 20-year anniversary of his groundbreaking masterpiece "Roger & Me," Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" comes home to the issue he's been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans (and by default, the rest of the world). But this time the culprit is much bigger than General Motors, and the crime scene far wider than Flint, Michigan. From Middle America, to the halls of power in Washington, to the global financial epicenter in Manhattan, Michael Moore will once again take filmgoers into uncharted territory. With both humor and outrage, Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" explores a taboo question: What is the price that America pays for its love of capitalism? Years ago, that love seemed so innocent. Today, however, the American dream is looking more like a nightmare as families pay the price with their jobs, their homes and their savings. Moore takes us into the homes of ordinary people whose lives have been turned upside down; and he goes looking for explanations in Washington, DC and elsewhere. What he finds are the all-too-familiar symptoms of a love affair gone astray: lies, abuse, betrayal... and 14,000 jobs being lost every day. "Capitalism: A Love Story" is both a culmination of Moore's previous works and a look into what a more hopeful future could look like. It is Michael Moore's ultimate quest to answer the question he's posed throughout his illustrious filmmaking career: Who are we and why do we behave the way that we do?

Now that we have President-elect Barack Obama as our new leader, I guess Michael Moore won't try to annoy right-wingers only; he'll broaden his scope and p*ss-off politicians in general! :-)

Let's get one thing straight, Moore's only real agenda is, and has always been, Moore's film career.
Something tells me that this new "documentary" will be long on liberal righteous anger and short on the whole Chris Dodd/FANNIE MAE scandal.

Personally I like large corporations. I have a great job and make lots of money because of them. Plus large chains like Wal-Mart offer goods and services cheaper than local small businesses. I would have less money to spend on movies if it was not for them. Heck movies would suck if not for large media corporations. Have you seen the independent crap from Sundance? Please no comments about how high and mighty you are because you like boring artsy movies with French people in them. You are not smarter than everyone else just because you watch weird ****!

Michael Moore should move on to more relevant topics. Sure, the economy's relevant, but he'll spend half his movie bashing former Pres. Bush. Old news. And the underlying problems weren't caused by him anyway. Besides, Moore's last movie's goal of derailing Bush's re-election failed big-time, so who listens to him anymore?

Michael Moore is a retard. Can't really put it much simpler or clearer than that. His fat tree-hugging ass should be shot.

I've never seen Micheal Moore show any signs of environmentalism in his documentaries..

pacificsharp: nice ass-covering there, posing a flamebait question about indie films and then invalidating any responses to it with your arbitrary opinion of them.

The truth is, money doesn't fix media. It only gives media more opportunities to churn out good AND bad product. Your opinion of "The Red Balloon" is irrelevant to that equation.

I'm gonna comment and your gonna freakin like it...

The comment on the sundance channel putting on weird crap. I rather watch that, then big time corporation media, remaking films that we seen hundreds of times. What ever happen to this word we know "Originality". Sounds to me that pacificsharp got bought out and brainwashed by big time corporations, one thing for sure we ALL know, no matter how big you are, money doesn't last for ever, right circuit city?
