Plot Summary: This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be -- it's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will. When Tom (Gordon-Levitt), a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer (Zooey Deschanel) dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

Alright, I saw this movie special screening, and for sure this is my number 5 favorite movie of all time. Just underneath "Life is Beautiful" and "High Fidelity" does this awkward and wonderful depiction of the faces of love take your breath away at how honest, brutal, and even cinematic, and I stress cinematic, a single person's influence can affect and change your life. This made me revisit my old collection of romantic movies with a refreshed appreciation towards the characters and stories, and more importantly it forced me to relive one of my own past relationships. I believe this is a reflection of any good modern relationship, something that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel captured wonderfully as actors, and within the first seven minutes you will not only clearly understand why you are about to love this film, but you will greatly anticipate future projects from writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and Director Marc Webb. I guarantee you'll love this film.

I hope the movie does well...Only because as far as looks go, I think Levitt is the best candidate to fill in the hole left by Ledger in the Joker role for the next Batman film, acting is a whole nother ball of wax

i'm with you on this preston... though i could see him as playing a different mindset of the joker... you know since he is reinventing himself on a daily basis.. this film looks sweet though... prolly watch it at home...

Couldn't agree more about the narrator. Yikes. Romantic Comedy or Sci-Fi Alien Flick?
