Kevin Eastman own the rights to Heavy Metal, therefore he can use the name all he wants, also it's not a remake, it's the third movie based off the magazine with original stories. Thats like saying the magazine is just a remake of itself every month, just because it has the same title.

Aw man!I was hoping they'ed make this one a live action thriller, with names like James Camron and Gore Verbinski, it's kind of a waste if it's animated. If i were directing a live action of Heavy Metal, i'd get like the hottest actresses of today. Like Scarlet Johanson, Eliza Dusku, Jolene Blayloc and elisha Cuthbert. And i'd pay them **** loads of money just for their ******* sticking out while kicking ass!! HELL YEA!!
