Plot Summary:
"Body of War" achieves an exceptional balance between two distinct yet interrelated stories of the Iraq War - one achingly intimate, and one with far-reaching national implications. Only two days after 9/11, 25 year-old Tomas Young responded to the call to defend his country, assuming he'd be sent to Afghanistan to fight Al-Qaeda. After President Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq, Tomas instead found himself on the road to Sadr City in an unarmored vehicle. After just a few days, with a single shot from above, Tomas was instantly paralyzed from the chest down.
