Plot Summary: Visionary. Lover. Dreamer. Fighter. Legend. Icon. AMELIA.

An extraordinary life of adventure, celebrity and continuing mystery comes to light in "Amelia," a vast, thrilling account of legendary aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart (two time Academy AwardŽ winner Hilary Swank).

After becoming the first woman to fly across the Atlantic, Amelia was thrust into a new role as America's sweetheart - the legendary "goddess of light," known for her bold, larger-than-life charisma. Yet, even with her global fame solidified, her belief in flirting with danger and standing up as her own, outspoken woman never changed. She was an inspiration to people everywhere, from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt (Cherry Jones) to the men closest to her heart: her husband, promoter and publishing magnate George P. Putnam (Golden GlobeŽ winner Richard Gere), and her long time friend and lover, pilot Gene Vidal (Ewan McGregor). In the summer of 1937, Amelia set off on her most daunting mission yet: a solo flight around the world that she and George both anxiously foresaw as destined, whatever the outcome, to become one of the most talked-about journeys in history.

Did Amelia Earhart disappear over the Bermuda Triangle? Why have we not yet discovered what makes this place so mysterious? I think before 2012 we're going to unveil some of the mysterious of this world, and we'll all be shocked.

Actually, she disappeared over the Pacific, near what's known as the Devil's Sea or the Dragon's Triangle (basically, Japan's version of the Bermuda Triangle), but it's a common misconception...by the way, based on some of the photos I've seen of Earheart, Hilary seems like a pretty solid choice for the role. Between her looks and her pedigree (2-time Academy Award winner), she can probably do justice to such a fascinating story.

The role of a Ford Tri-Motor will be portrayed by Ford Tri-Motor 4-AT-10 C-1077. (A plane she flew! Don't know about the actors, but expect the Tri-Motor to portray itself accurately!)

Man what a bunch on uneducated losers.

Amelia Earthart disapeared of Holland Island which is about 4000 nautical miles south of what is call the Devil's Sea. And she did not flew a Ford Tri Motors, she was flying a Lockheed L-10 Electra. Before coming in forums posting your stupid comments, read a little, research your stuff so you don't sound like a bunch of retarted 12 year old morons.

Uh... why would anyone expect most people living day to know what kind of plane Amelia flew? It's enough that they have some idea who she was... a mediocre pilot with a great press agent. There were many other female flyers from her era that were more skilled, less exploited, and more respected in the flying community, like Pancho Barnes.

To P@t_Mtl:

You might want to check your grammer before you post. "...And she did not flew (should be fly, Mr. Know-It-All) a Ford Tri-Motors...".
