This should be interesting. The original was actually very good and I usually shy away from remakes, but Dylan Walsh is very good.

I don't agree gorelover, I think that this will be a very dumb and uneccesary remake that should have been put in the trash, because it dosen't even deserve a spot on the back of the "maybe" shelf in Hollywood!!

Yall a bunch of grease balls anyway, Dylan Walsh is exceptionally good in Nip/Tuck and I guess that you guys just don't get it. Hollywood is running out of ideas as far as movies go, and so they are using the same old theme or name and putting a bunch of new people in it. Hollyood really blows ass chunks, and I should know, I live out here and like to get my nipples clamped and my hole stretched! Hoo Ra! **** me hard!!!!!!!!!!

They are going to get rid of this posting feature, because of the few ignorant people who use it for statements like the ones above. Moving on...

I saw the original film several years ago and remembered liking it. It's the kind of movie that should be remade in my opinion because it wasn't a super popular film and it didn't completely pertain to genre fans of any kind. It was entertaining and has the potential to be retold and given a face lift. It's not a classic that "shouldn't be touched" and the story is one of the more original ideas in the last 15 years. No comic book character image to complain about, not sequel/prequel, no over blown $20/$30 million actor either. I think it has potential.

I only liked Stepfather part 3, i was too young when the first two came out so I'll wait for this one to come on tv, if it ever gets made.
