Plot Summary: Actor-turned-director Clark Gregg shows he is as adept behind the camera as he is in front of it with "Choke," a wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of Colonial theme parks. Victor Mancini (Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by working days as a historical reenactor at a Colonial Williamsburg theme park. At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who "save" him. When, in a rare lucid movement, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father’s identity, Victor enlists the aid of his best friend, Denny (Henke) and his mother's beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall (Macdonald), to solve the mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever.

i love chuck palahniuk, and this is going to be a great movie, considering he's the author of fight club as well. this movie is gonna be awesome, and it looks like its already becoming under-appreciated. spread the word about this film. if you like fight club, then this movie will be your type of film!!!!!!!!

It's a pretty good book. Survivor is better though. Tyler here is right. Would love to see a Survivor movie. The ending of Choke is kinda weird by the way. I can't even remember it.

yeah, I agree with both of you. Survivor should be made into a movie. I heard something about the director of I am legend doing it before 9-11 happened, but once the trade center's went down, he though it would be inappropriate. maybe in the near future, we can only hope, guys......

A lot of people here are breaking the first two rules of fight club. The only other Palahniuk book I've read was "Diary." It was awsome, nothing like "Fight Club." I haven't heard much about it, but I'm looking forward to this movie. I'm gonna have to check out the book.

I can only pray this film gets allot of fan basis opening weekend, because I would hate to see one of chuck's movies go under. Fight club did awful at the box office back in 1998 but now its a huge cult phenomenon. I have a feeling that it's going to be the same with this movie. Spread the word if you can...
