Plot Summary: "Swing Vote" follows the story of Bud Johnson (Kevin Costner), an apathetic, beer-slinging, lovable loser, who is coasting through a life that has passed him by. The one bright spot is his precocious, over-achieving twelve-year-old daughter Molly. She takes care of both of them, until one mischievous moment on Election Day, when she accidentally sets off a chain of events which culminates in the election coming down to one vote... her dad's.

"Swing Vote" is a comical look at the journey of one father and daughter who discover that everyone has the power to change the world.

Actually this is a very timely movie, considering its an election year.

looks very well written, and has a good cast

Trailer makes me want to see it, which is its purpose, to sell the movie

It reminds me of Man of the Year with Robin Williams..a cute funny movie that I might watch once. I won't go and see it at the theater because I save that money for the great movies, but I will watch it when it comes out on DVD.

Looks good, great timing. Kevin Costner usually does pretty well with the non fantasy movies like the Postman and Waterworld, so this should be at least watchable.

If it came down to one vote, as preposterous as the premise is, it would swing the electoral vote in one direction or another, which still means that his vote would still decide the election. Congress would not be a factor.

There's this song that's the background music of the trailer - does anyone know what the name of it is? Or where I might be able to find that out? It starts right after George Lopez says: "This is OJ big." and with that shot of Nathan Lane and the guy with white hair are in an airplane. (dun-dun-dun-duh-duh dan dun (clap))

I was lucky enough to play a Boone Supporter in the movie, Swing Vote, with Kevin Costner and Kelsey Grammer. Sorry to hear Kelsey had a mild heart attack recently. Hope he is doing well. I'm looking forward to the movie release date on August 1st. I'll see you at the movies.
