Plot Summary:
Decorated Iraq war hero Sgt. Brandon King makes a celebrated return to his small Texas hometown following his tour of duty. Brandon tries to resume the life he left behind with the help and support of his family and his best friend, Steve Shriver, who served with him in Iraq. Alongside their war-time buddies, Brandon and Steve try to make peace with civilian life. Then, against Brandon's will, the Army orders him back to duty in Iraq. This upends Brandon's entire world. The conflict into which he is thrown tests everything he believes in: the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love, and the value of honor.

Roddy, best of luck! I hope things turn around for you.
Matt, I couldn't agree more. This movie may have been more successful had it been released a year ago (probably as it was in production). The turnaround of the war will probably make many of the points this movie makes, moot. I cannot say for certain, though as the movie has not come out yet.
I probably won't go see it. I don't need MTV to tell me what's right and wrong. In fact, I fear for the people that do rely on MTV for their morals.
God Bless this country && God Bless and Protect each one of those men and women.
hey adam!
IM a young adult and i DO give a **** about this movie AND the war in iraq. my best friends are over there along with my HUSBAND. so maybe you shouldnt jump to conclusions so fast. after all- this is a movie site, MOST (not all) people who are THAT concerned with the war arent on here. =]
&& the kid with the crackhead family and the obvious liberal democrat can just shut up until they KNOW what they're talking about. which will probably be forever. until you PERSONALLY KNOW someone who's fighting this war- shut the HELL up. you have no idea what is really going on with it. you dont know if we're winning or getting our asses kicked. but you think you do, right? well thats because media is FILTERED to what they want you to see and what sells. guess what? WINNING THE WAR DOESNT SELL. so how about you NOT talk **** about the men that are fighting for your right to say some of the most uneducated thoughts ive ever heard.
