Plot Summary: "In the Valley of Elah" tells the story of a war veteran (Tommy Lee Jones), his wife (Susan Sarandon) and the search for their son, a soldier who recently returned from Iraq but has mysteriously gone missing, and the police detective (Charlize Theron) who helps in the investigation.

We owe it to these soldiers to help them adjust to being civilians. Not only with mere lip service by having them cornered into lying on the form with regards to questions about their emotions. They should be monitored and followed up the same way a patient is after they have survived a disease or major surgery. After return home, these soldiers should have mandatory, yet confidential mental health screening and treatment. It would be my hope that when a red flag goes up, someone will see it. These young soldiers need our help.
