Plot Summary: The greatest adventure of all time begins with "Star Trek," the incredible story of a young crew's maiden voyage onboard the most advanced starship ever created: the U.S.S. Enterprise. On a journey filled with action, comedy and cosmic peril, the new recruits must find a way to stop an evil being whose mission of vengeance threatens all of mankind.

The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before!

I wonder if people that have dissed "Star Trek" throughout the years(I used to be one of those people) will give this new incarnation a chance.

Star Trek has always been about hope, understanding things that are different. With all the things happening in the world today..we all could learn a little from the messages of Star Trek.

When are we getting a Voyager movie? And what about just a TNG movie? They killed Kirk (thank you!!!) so STOP BRINGING HIM BACK!!!!! Enough with the original series movies, it's time for some of the new series to have a go. It would be nice to give the Enterprise series crew a movie, too. I grew up watching the original series when it aired, and it was great for it's time, but it is now time for the newer series to have a chance, too. There have been enough movies about the old series to make up for it being pulled from the air early.

The other Star Trek Series didn't don't have as much of a original aspects to them.
I have a small part in the new movie and the story is not just about Kirk. It is also about other Star Trek characters. J.J. Abrams is doing a greet job.

But I do agree that I would like to see a Voyager movie.

P.S. I don't think they would make a movie out of Enterprise. It was canceled because of low ratings.

I have enjoyed the Star Trek Series and have had the opportunity to meet and talk with many of its stars over the years. I am very fascinated with the background of Klingons and their way of life. I think it would be a great spin off to do a short series of the adventures of a Klingon crew. I know that there will be some intrinsic problems with it, but I believe there is enough of a fan recognition to support an experiment like it. J.G. Hertzler would be a great basic actor for such an adventure.

Alternate timelines perhaps? The ship looks like a hybrid of TOS and the refit of the motion picture. Wonder if the welder at the beginning is supposed to be a young Scotty. He actually looks alot like Christopher Pike!

The Plot of the new movie is shaping up! I wonder if Scott Backula will get a cameo, since the ST timeline would be about right after UFP is set up.
