This was a fairy tale story for me. I liked seeing Freddie Highmore playing twin brothers. One brother Jared believing in Arthur Spiderwick's diaries about goblins, fairies, orcs and ogres. And the other brother Simon saying, stop being so secretive and let me in on the secret. You also got the rest of Jared's family-Mallory and Mom wanting to start a new life in this run-down house. I thought the movie even if it was under 2 hours fit in all the details of the what the screenwriters were trying to write. The special effects might look like something out of a Saturday Morning serial but that's fine. I love David Straithrn and Joan Playwright's performances. And I got the message in the film, believe what you want to believe but I care about the people who you love
