Plot Summary:
Heidegger, the German philosopher best known as the author of "Being and Time" (1927), is not only regarded as one of the founders of existentialism but also as one of the most influential, if controversial, philosophers of the twentieth century. Unlike other, recently released documentaries on philosophers, "The Ister" attempts to break new ground by developing a cinematic language with which to explore philosophical ideas on screen.
