Plot Summary:
Six friends, talentless and unfit, form a seven-a-side football team. They call themselves Brazil. They plan to play soccer until they win.
This is a comedy of delusion, of the survival of the unfittest in the face of humiliation and inevitable defeat. On and off the pitch their movements are the same – shuffling, stumbling then staggering, the pratfalls of endearing losers.
Their most formidable opponents, of course, are the women they love but can't stand – demanding wives and girlfriends. Sexual adventures give way to prosaic thirty-something coupledom.
A feel-good movie; a hilarious buddy comedy, with a little football and sex thrown in!
