Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts will present at the 76th Academy Awards, telecast producer Joe Roth announced today.
Cruise has twice been nominated in the Leading Actor category, for Born on the Fourth of July in 1989 and for Jerry Maguire in 1996. In 1999, he was nominated for his supporting role in Magnolia.
This will be Roberts’ fifth appearance as an Oscar presenter. Roberts received the Best Actress Oscar in 2001 for her portrayal of the title character in Erin Brockovich. She also received nominations for her supporting role in Steel Magnolias in 1989 and for the leading role in Pretty Woman in 1990.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on February 29, 2004, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST) with a half-hour arrivals segment.
