Jack Black to Make First Oscar Show Appearance


Actor Jack Black will make his first appearance as an Oscar show presenter at the 76th Academy Awards, producer Joe Roth announced today.

Black recently starred in School of Rock and will be seen next in Envy and the animated comedy Shark Tale. His other film credits include Shallow Hal, High Fidelity, Orange County and Jesus’ Son.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on February 29, 2004, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST) with a half-hour arrivals segment.
