We’re kicking off the week with a behind-the-scenes clip from Ron Howard’s third Robert Langdon adventure, Inferno. In the top player below, you can take a look at the real death mask of Dante Alighieri!

Other titles debuting January 24 include Derek Cianfrance’s romantic drama The Light Between Oceans (starring Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander), the horror tale The Monster (starring Zoe Kazan), USS Indianapolis: Men of Honor (starring Nicolas Cage), and the Korean War drama Battle For Incheon: Operation Chromite (starring Jung-jae Lee, Beom-su Lee and Liam Neeson).

Arriving on DVD only is The Handmaiden, the latest from Chan-wook Park (Stoker, Oldboy).

The Criterion Collection this week offers up a Blu-ray of Ousmane Sembène’s seminal 1966 film Black Girl. Meanwhile, The Man Who Fell to Earth, long out of print in its Criterion edition, returns as a three-disc set from Lionsgate. The Nicholas Roeg classic arrives in a limited edition that also includes a number of lobby cards celebrating the work of leading man David Bowie.

Warner Archive has a treat for cinephiles this week with the first-ever Blu-ray of Terence Young’s 1967 thriller Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn as a blind woman who comes to be terrorized by violent thieves. 

The small screen this week brings us the recent Cartoon Network miniseries Adventure Time: Islands. We’ve even got a special peek at one of the show’s animatic sequences that you can check out in the second player below!

January 24 also delivers the first season of the Douglas Adams adaptation Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and the fourth (and potentially final) season of the hit contemporary take on the work of Sir Arthur Conan doyle, the BBC‘s hugely-popular Sherlock.

Debuting on Digital HD January 24 is the latest DC Comics original animated film, Justice League Dark. The week also brings Digital HD debuts for Ewan McGregor’s directorial debut, American Pastoral, the ensemble comedy drama Almost Christmas, the powerful true story Loving, and the animated musical adventure Trolls. Finally, there’s also the Digital HD release of The Lover and the Despot, a documentary that explores the infamous true story of Kim Jong-il’s 1978 abduction of actress Choi Eun-hee and director Shin Sang-ok.
