Furious 7 Home Release Reaches $52.5 Million

Furious 7 home release races to new records

The unstoppable global franchise built on speed continues firing on all cylinders with the news that the Furious 7 home entertainment release has generated $52.5 million in consumer spend across both physical and digital formats in its North American debut. Grossing over $1.5 billion dollars worldwide at the box office, Furious 7 sold roughly 2.5 million units on Blu-ray and DVD in its first week of release, making it the highest-selling home entertainment live-action film launch of 2015. On both the physical and the digital front, Furious 7 stands as the franchise’s biggest-selling release to date and is on pace to be Universal’s highest-grossing live-action home entertainment release ever.

From Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Furious 7 is currently available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital and On Demand.

“‘Furious 7’ shattered records around the world at the box office and continues to reach incredible heights in home entertainment, an extraordinary achievement for the seventh installment of any franchise,” said UPHE President Eddie Cunningham. “Such astonishing results in both theatrical and home entertainment are a true testament to the enduring appeal of The Fast and the Furious films and underscore the strong demand amongst both physical and digital consumers to have instant access to one of the year’s greatest must-own movies.”

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast across the globe in their most gravity-defying and emotional adventure yet. Targeted by a cold-blooded black-ops assassin with a score to settle (Jason Statham), their only hope is to get behind the wheel again and secure an ingenious prototype tracking device. Facing their greatest threat yet in places as far away as Abu Dhabi and as familiar as the Los Angeles streets they call home, the crew must come together once again as a team, and as a family, to protect their own.

You can order the Blu-ray and DVD and a 7-film Collection is also available.
