Butterfly Effect Remains on Top

New Line Home Entertainment’s The Butterfly Effect held on to the top spot in its second week of release and also took the first position on Nielsen VideoScan’s list of top-selling DVDs for the week ending July 10, says The Hollywood Reporter.

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s Never Die Alone and MGM’s Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London were the two new entrants to the top 10 rentals, landing at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively.

The tween-oriented “Cody Banks 2” also debuted strongly on Nielsen VideoScan’s First Alert chart for VHS titles. It entered at No. 6, the only new release to break into the top 10.

Paramount Home Entertainment’s Meg Ryan-Omar Epps starrer Against the Ropes came in at No. 11 on the rental charts in its first week of release.
