Mad Max: Fury Road leads the charge of new titles arriving September 1, 2015

Welcome to ComingSoon.net’s look at all the top entertainment hitting this week on Blu-ray, DVD and streaming platforms. Check out the gallery viewer below for a look at the major new releases, catalogue titles and television collections hitting shelves on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. We’ve also started including titles that are newly available via Digital HD.

The week begins with one of the summer’s most acclaimed blockbusters, Mad Max: Fury Road, which also arrives in a 3D version and as part of a four-film anthology that includes the entire George Miller-helmed franchise.

Next up is the Andrew Niccol war drama Good Kill, starring Ethan Hawke. If you missed it, be sure to check out our exclusive interview with Niccol about the film.

Other recent big screen releases include Boulevard, which tragically marks the final performance from the legendary Robin Williams, The D Train, a comedy drama starring Jack Black and James Marsden that offers a surprising narrative twist, and I’ll See You in My Dreams, a sweet drama starring Blythe Danner and Sam Elliot.

This week also offers two recent horror releases with Anchor Bay delivering the 2014 ’80s throwback slash Lost After Dark and Scream Factory serving up the time travel civil war horror adventure Army of Frankensteins.

The crew of the Ghost lead the small screen charge with the first season of Star Wars Rebels arriving just in time for “Force Friday.”

Then, History’s recent miniseries Texas Rising comes home alongside the first season of Scorpion, the sixth season of Vampire Diaries, and the second season of the VD spinoff, The Originals. Rounding off the TV list is the The League: Season Six, arriving on DVD only.

Titles available digitally this week include director Gil Kenan’s recent Poltergeist remake, the magical romance Age of Adeline, Paul Feig’s recent comedy hit Spy, and the indie horror releases The Curse of Downer’s Grove (scripted by Brett Easton Ellis) and Paranormal Island (starring Lance Henriksen).

The fifth season of Game of Thrones also debuts digitally this week.
