First Look Teams with Anderson for Baywatch

First Look Studios, the growing independent entertainment company, has teamed with Pamela Anderson for the official DVD release of the popular series Baywatch. As part of the alliance, First Look Studios will market and sell the DVDs domestically and in select international territories; and Anderson will provide marketing consulting, promotional experiences and appearances. First Look secured the DVD rights to the Baywatch series through an agreement with Freemantle Entertainment. The Baywatch DVDs will go on sale in 2006 through retail and direct sales channels.

Baywatch gained international recognition through its look at the beauty and beaches in Southern California, seen through the eyes of a sexy, daring team of lifeguards. The series ran from 1989-2001, with Anderson playing the role of “C.J. Parker” from 1992-1997. Anderson also appeared in several Baywatch television movies, including Baywatch: River of No Return, Baywatch: Forbidden Paradise and Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.

“We are very excited to team with a mega-celebrity such as Pamela Anderson for the release of the ‘Baywatch’ DVDs, and we will tap First Look Studio’s marketing and distribution resources to create a highly successful launch,” said Henry Winterstern, CEO and co-chairman, First Look Studios. “Pamela has continued to be a positive cultural icon for years, and she will be a tremendous asset in the marketing of these DVDs. The millions upon millions of ‘Baywatch’ fans who have been eagerly awaiting the release of these shows will certainly not be disappointed.”

Pamela Anderson’s extensive television credits include five seasons on Baywatch, four years as the leading character on V.I.P. and a two-year stint on Home Improvement. Anderson has also starred in feature films, including Barb Wire and Scary Movie 3. She was recently featured in The Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson, and contributed her voice and inspiration for the satirical animated superhero show Stripperella. Anderson can currently be seen as the lead character in the sitcom Stacked, and her latest novel, “Star Struck,” was published in 2005. She is known throughout the world having appeared on the cover of Playboy a record 11 times. She is also a leading public advocate for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

“It’s amazing how many people just really love the ‘Baywatch’ shows, and it’s so exciting to finally be releasing the DVDs,” said Pamela Anderson. “First Look Studios and Henry Winterstern have been great to work with and I know it’s going to be a lot of fun to get out there to meet the fans. I think people are really going to love watching their favorite ‘Baywatch’ shows.”
