This Friday, Marc Webb’s blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man comes home in a variety of different versions, including a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, DVD, and as a Limited Edition Gift Set, all of which include UltraViolet digital versions of the film.
Grossing more than $750 million at the international box office, Webb’s reboot of the Spider-Man mythos stars Andrew Garfield as the wall-crawler, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain Stacy, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, who becomes the villainous Lizard.
ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype.com sat down to speak with Webb and some of his behind-the-scenes team, including Sr. Visual Effects Supervisor Jerome Chen, 3D Visual Effects Supervisor Rob Engle and Additional Animation Supervisor David Schaub. In the below interviews, the team discusses bringing 50 years of comic book history to life on-screen and teases the future of the franchise as work begins on the sequel, scheduled for release on May 2, 2014.
