Recent big screen releases coming home May 24 include Walt Disney Pictures‘ recent historical thriller The Finest Hours, which details the true story of the greatest small boat rescue in Coast Guard history. May 24 also brings home the Warner Bros. comedy How to Be Single, the biblical thriller Risen and the Paramount Pictures comedy sequel Zoolander No. 2.

Scream Factory has a treat for Thomas Harris fans this week with a new two-disc set of Michael Mann’s Manhunter, offering both theatrical and director’s cuts and a host of newly created special features.

The Criterion Collection this week turns its attention back to the late, great Robert Altman, offering up a new HD edition of his 1992 comedy, The Player.

Kino Lorber delivers this week a three disc Buster Keaton Shorts set, offering 19 different silent comedies featuring the Great Stone Face.

Small screen releases coming home May 24 include a trio of DVD only titles, beginning with the first season of WGN America‘s Outsiders. This week also brings home Doctor Who: The Underwater Menace, the very last classic Who release since the series began its DVD run 15 years ago. Shout! Factory, meanwhile, re-releases Rhino’s long out of print Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume 2.

Warner Archive this week has another wave of rare MOD titles, beginning with a set of James A. FitzPatrick’s travel documentaries. FitzPatrick Traveltalks Vol. 1 spans from 1934 to 1946, overlapping with WA’s latest wave of WWII era titles. This week brings us Seven Miles From Alcatraz, The Navy Comes ThroughMarine Raiders and China Sky.

Titles available via Digital HD the week of May 24 include the true Michael Bay military tale 13 Hours, the true sports drama Eddie the Eagle, Joel and Ethan Coen’s homage to classic Hollywood, Hail, Caesar, the spy comedy The Brothers Grimsby, the supernatural horror feature The Other Side of the Door and the drama Touched with Fire, starring Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby.
