As far as quantity goes, it’s a relatively quiet week. That’s largely because April 5 finally brings home J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens on DVD and Blu-ray. Click here to check out our immersive review of the latest chapter in the sci-fi saga.

April 5 also sees a few recent indie releases come home. Tumbledown stars Rebecca Hall and Jason Sudeikis in the story of recently-widowed woman who is forced to confront her loss and potentially find new love when she is confronted by a journalist investigating her husband’s death. The thriller Mojave, meanwhile, hails from Academy Award-winning writer and director William Monahan and stars Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund. The Hallow offers writer and director Corin Hardy’s Irish horror feature about family facing off against demonic creatures. Also arriving in the horror genre is writer and director Tara Subkoff’s recent cyberbullying thriller #Horror. Rounding out the list of new release live-action features is the Dolph Lundgren-led actioner Riot and, hitting DVD only, the science fiction thriller Identicals, starring Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD star Nick Blood.

A pair of feature-length animated movies debut directly to home video with the arrival of both the OVA Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie and the Sketchers-produced kid-friendly movie Twinkle Toes Lights Up New York.

It’s a pretty busy week for small-screen releases as April 5 brings the fourth season of Cinemax‘s crime-thriller series, Banshee, the complete ninth modern season of the BBC‘s Doctor Who and the first season of Syfy‘s acclaimed new series, The Expanse. Hitting DVD only are the fourth seasons of Showtime‘s House of Lies and Episodes, as well as the first seasons of both Hulu‘s Casual and CBS‘ The Odd Couple.

Digital HD releases arriving at the end of this week (April 8) include the Natalie Portman-led western Jane Got a Gun and Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Miracle Mop inventor Joy Magano.
