We've seen the launch of some very impressive viral marketing campaigns for some key films in the past few days. X-Men: Days of Future Past teased the Trask Industries Sentinel, RoboCop debuted a look at Omnicorp's robot technology, Godzilla's "Encounter" website has teased the beast making landfall, and now Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has debuted a site dedicated to educating us on the dangers of "Simian Flu."

Yesterday was a big day for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as the pilot for the new series was screened in its entirety at the San Diego Comic-Con. In addition, it was announced that The Avengers' actress Cobie Smulders will appear in the pilot as Agent Maria Hill, and could continue to appear in the series later on down the road.

This is it: your first look at footage from the new Veronica Mars movie. In this reel, presented during the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19th, Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, and the rest of the cast show you a little bit of what's coming to theaters in early 2014.

It has long been the subject of rumor for fans of The Amazing Spider-Man series that filmmaker Marc Webb and the rest of the crew are building towards a plot line for "The Sinister Six," a collection of Spidey's biggest enemies that team up to take him down. But how do they come together?

This year's G.I. Joe: Retaliation scored over $350 million at the global box office and of course Paramount is going to follow it up with a third film in the series. They've even tapped "Retaliation" director Jon M. Chu to helm the feature.

Speaking with our friends at CraveOnline, Chu spoke in good detail about the world they've created and what characters could see a return in the third film.

Continuing our Comic-Con coverage of Sony Pictures' The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we have another interview, this time with co-producer Avi Arad, who has been involved with the Marvel Universe all the way back to the animated shows of the '90s but who became more involved when Sony picked up the rights to make live-action movies based on Spider-Man around the same time.

We have updated the 2013 Comic-Con Gallery with a big batch of new cosplay photos from the San Diego convention! You can check out all the new photos by clicking here. Stay tuned to the gallery as we will have many more photos to come this weekend.

As they did last year with their "Phase One" short film finale, "Item 47," Marvel Studios hosted a special San Diego premiere screening of the new 15-minute "Agent Carter" short, which will be included as a bonus feature on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray release. While it's well-known that the film features Captain America: The First Avenger star Hayley Atwell returning in the role of Peggy Carter, the film also offers a wide variety of surprise cameos. We'll refrain from revealing the two big ones at the end, but if you want to stay completely spoiler-free, stop reading now.

"After the premiere of 'Captain America,' I went straight back to London to do a play," says Atwell of how the project came about. "I thought that was the end of it. Then months and months and months later, I got a call from Lou [D'Esposito] saying that this was something that we could make together. It was as new to me as it was to the fans."

The crew from "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." brought down the house in Ballroom 20 at Comic-Con today when it was announced that Disney's lawyers would not allow a clip from the highly-anticipated Marvel Universe series to be shown. Instead, they showed the entire pilot! The near hour-long episode was pitch perfect Whedon and sets up the new show about as well as I could have imagined. At the end of the screening, everyone had a pretty good idea about who has got secrets... and it's just about everyone!

Picturehouse has released the new trailer and poster for Metallica Through the Never, opening in IMAX 3D theaters on September 27 before expanding on October 4th.
