If there's any doubt left that Michael Bay's Transformers is going to be a huge deal for Paramount/DreamWorks this coming summer, it's probably been squashed by the amount of Transformers everything that can be seen at ShoWest this year. Besides the banner ads all over Bally's Paris, Paramount actually brought the vehicles used in the movie to the ShoWest exhibition floor to give the theatre delegates a chance to see the Transformers in car and truck format up close. The Paramount booth was pretty packed, making it difficult to take clean pictures of the vehicles, but you can get some idea what these things look like here.
UPDATE: Before the screening of DreamWorks' Disturbia, which also stars Shia LaBeouf, Michael Bay came out to introduce and present footage from Tranformers. While it was mostly the same footage that was shown at Toy Fair, some of it seemed to be extended. You can read more about the new footage below.
While the opening scene of the Decepticon attack in Qatar and the Scorponok attack and defensive later on were virtually the same as what was shown at Toy Fair, the middle clip involving the Autobots at Sam/Shia's house seemed to have been extended to tie the first part of the clip (Sam and Mikhaela's arrival at the house) with the second part, which had Turturro and his men show up to take Sam.
First of all, there was a lot more finished (or close) CG work on the Autobots, so they looked a lot better than they did when Bay presented the footage at Toy Fare. It also seemed to have more dubbed Autobot dialogue with Optimus Prime giving orders to the other robots. There now seemed to be four robots/vehicles in the scene where originally there only seemed to be three. The scene continued a bit longer as one of the robots stumbles and crashes through a neighboring greenhouse. Sam locks himself in his room to find the glasses and his parents start nosing around, yelling for him to open his door. (His mother makes a joke about him masturbating... gee, and Bay almost got an R-rating for this.) At the same time, the Autobots flash bright lights in through Sam's windows since the power was knocked out by the falling Autobot.
(Incidentally, they didn't show the scene of Sam and Mikhaela first meeting within his yellow-striped Mustang AKA Bumblebee in auto format.)
